‘Seven Last Words of Christ’ April 1
St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, 768 Lincoln Ave., Calumet City, will present a sacred choral concert at 3:30 p.m. April 1 featuring “The Seven Last Words of Christ” by Theodore Dubois and works of Mozart, Bach and Schubert. Former music director Faustus Strolia will return to conduct the combined choirs of St. Andrew, the Knights of Lithuania and the Blessed George Matulaitis Catholic Mission. The St. Andrew Children’s Choir also will perform. Donations will be accepted. Call (708) 862-4165 for information.

Women to share Lenten experience
Single women are invited to heighten their Lenten experience by attending the “Gathering of Women” weekend April 6-8 in Ruma, Ill., hosted by the Adorers of the Blood of Christ. Cost is $60. For more information, call Sister Janis Yaekel at (618) 282-3848 or [email protected] by April 3.

Interfaith celebration of Earth Day
Chicago-area religious communities can observe Earth Day with pilgrimages and an interfaith celebration. Each faith community will plan a pilgrimage sometime during April. Participants from each community will convene April 22, Earth Day, at the Garfield Park Conservatory. Religious life meeting open to youths
The Institute for Religious Life will open one day of its national meeting to youths free of charge. The institute’s national meeting, April 20-22 at University of St. Mary of the Lake in Mundelein, will include a special Saturday session with panel discussions about the religious life, including a free lunch and concluding with a Mass celebrated by Cardinal George. Other highlights of the weekend include a keynote address by Cardinal Francis Arinze and the presentation of the Pro Fidelite et Virtute Award to Virgil Dechant, former Supreme Knight of the Knights of Columbus.
