Prayers to St. Anne

For 114 years, the faithful have sought the intercession of Mary's mother at the Shrine of St. Anne located within Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Chicago's Brighton Park neighborhood. They come from all over, and year after year, to venerate her relic and offer prayers.

Viola "Dolly" Gradt inspects the candles at the shrine on July 26, 2009. Gradt has taken care of the shrine for more than 50 years. She was baptized, confirmed, married and had the funeral for her son at the church.
