Jacoby Young and Hannah Williams, students at St. Ailbe School, 9037 S. Harper Ave., pray with Father John Breslin as they gathered to celebrate a Kente Mass on Jan. 8. Students who performed acts of kindness or excelled academically received a “kente cloth” to wear for the month. Kente was the cloth of kings worn only in times of extreme importance and considered to have spiritual significance.
