Archbishop Cupich has been making his way around the Archdiocese of Chicago visiting the people. Here are photos of recent visits. We will update these photos regularly.
Archbishop Cupich greets catechumen Kimberly Casey from St. Therese Chinese Catholic Church during the Rite of Election liturgy at Holy Name Cathedral on March 1. There are five Rite of Election liturgies held each year in the archdiocese for those preparing to receive the sacraments of baptism, Eucharist, and confirmation during the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday. Those who have not been baptized are called forward to the front of the cathedral, where the bishop elects them for the Easter sacraments. Those already baptized and coming into full communion in the church are also called forward. The bishop recognizes them and calls them to continued conversion.
