The funeral for retired Auxiliary Bishop Timothy Lyne was held at Holy Name Cathedral on Sept. 30. Cardinal George was the main celebrant and joined by Cardinal Edward Egan, retired archbishop of New York, 12 bishops and more than 125 priests. Friends and family filed the cathedral for the Mass. At the end of Mass, one of his nieces spoke of "Uncle Timmy" on behalf of his 18 nieces and nephews, 45 grand nieces and nephews and four great-grand nieces and nephews.
