For 114 years, the faithful have sought the intercession of Mary's mother at the Shrine of St. Anne located within Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Chicago's Brighton Park neighborhood. They come from all over, and year after year, to venerate her relic and offer prayers.
Redemptorist Father Tony Judge delivers a homily during the closing service of the 114th annual St. Anne novena at Our Lady of Fatima on July 26. St. Anne, the mother of Mary, is patron of widows, pregnant women, childless women and nursemaids. Catholics have venerated her for centuries.
