Grace and Gavin Cichocki try some of the Asian food at the St. Therese Church booth at the 31st Annual Chicago Chinatown Summer Fair on July 18.. This year marks the fourth year St. Therese participated in the event with a food booth and church tours. New to the tour this year was the prayer garden and “wall of fame,” highlighting scenes from the parish’s history. This year’s theme, “Our Priests and Nuns,” was dedicated to the religious who served the parishioners of St. Therese Mission over the years. A portion of proceeds from this event will be sent in thanksgiving to the first missionary order that worked at St. Therese, the Maryknolls.
