Members of a combined choir of Lay Ecclesial Movements gathered at St. John Vianney Parish in Northlake on Sept. 2 to hear Cardinal George talk about Pope Benedict XVI’s April visit to the United States. That gathering was directed at lay ecclesial movements that have a presence in the archdiocese. These movements exist worldwide to help members become more actively involved in the practice of their faith. Members are largely or exclusively laity who live the call to discipleship through specific practices and ways of prayer that are particular to each movement or community.
