Christian Venegas, a second grade student at Immaculate Conception School, 8739 South Exchange Ave., on the south side, learns about Lent during class on Feb. 20. The Daughters of Mary Immaculate of Guadalupe have staffed the school along with lay faculty members since the school was re-opened in 1992 with kindergarten and first Grade after a 100 year run.
