Despite stormy weather, participants pray the rosary in front of the statue of Our Lady of the New Millennium on the evening of May 22. Cardinal George joined Bishop Dale Melczek of Gary, and the pastor and parishioners of St. John the Evangelist Parish for the statue's installation at the Shrine of Christ's Passion in St. John, Ind. The statue, familiar to many in the Archdiocese of Chicago, where it traveled to parishes and other public sites for a number of years, will now be permanently displayed at this site.
