Cardinal George ordained 12 transitional deacons at the University of St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary on Oct. 31. They are (from left) Elvio Baldeon Lope, Brian Kean, Conventual Franciscan Anthony Lajato, Sergio Mena, Nathaniel Payne, Stanley Stuglik, Luis Gerardo Romero Valerio, Carlos Rodriguez, Michael Moczko, Andrew Liaugminas, Christopher Kituli and Shawn Gould. All except for Lajato were ordained for the Archdiocese of Chicago. They are expected to be ordained to the priesthood in May.
