At the end of August, more than 90,000 elementary and secondary students returned to schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago. We captured a few moments from those exciting first days of school for Catholic New World readers.

From left, Jasmine Fincher, Lilletha Allen, Monique Bolden and Elissa Castelberry are several of nearly 120 freshman students at the newly opened school who spend five days per month working jobs in professional and corporate environments, the pay from which is applied directly to their school tuition.
