Read Observations.

Day by day on stage
Living the story of an American who could become a saint
Lisa Wagner has spent the past 13 years tirelessly performing a 90-minute, one-actor dramatization of the life of Dorothy Day. Tirelessly is no exaggeration: she is often moving full-speed on stage, changing costumes, while pacing and talking with the speed and energy for which Day was always known.
Church leaders raise concerns about post 9-11 immigrant rights
Chicago immigration attorney Yaser Tabbara has a client, a teenage boy from South Asia, who had to comply with the special registration rules set by the Immigration and Naturalization Service in the wake of Sept. 11.

When Keiren OKelly took over the Office for Lay Ecclesial Ministry in March, she came to the job with some experience: more than five years as pastoral associate at her home parish of St. Barnabas. In her new position, she hopes to continue the support the office provides to the archdioceses pastoral associates.

Poles who historically labored in its stone quarries helped frame Lemont as The Village of Faith. With only one Polish parish in Chicago, Archbishop Patrick Feehan established SS. Cyril & Methodius on one of the highest points here, called Jasna Gora or Blue Hill.
