The words have sprung up all over. God bless America, shouts from billboards. United we stand is emblazoned on signs, homemade and store-bought. Marquees flash with slogans patriotic and divine. Electronic flags join the real ones waving along the roadside. But the most common sentiment seems to be God bless America
