Radio talks scheduled in three languages

Father Robert Barron begins his six-week series of Lenten radio programs with a broadcast at 6 p.m. March 8 on Catholic Family Radio, 820-AM, to be repeated at 9 a.m. March 12 on Catholic Family Radio and at 5 a.m. March 12 on WMAQ-670AM.

Father Barron’s talks also can be purchased on cassette tape by calling Sound/Video Impressions Inc. at (847) 297-4360.

The archdiocese also is providing radio programs on Sundays during Lent in Spanish and in Polish.

Auxiliary Bishop John R. Manz, Archdiocesan Director of Hispanic Ministry Father Esequiel Sanchez and Scalabrinian Father Clair Orso of St. Gertrude Parish in Franklin Park each will offer two 30-minute radio talks, to air at 7:30 a.m. Sundays beginning March 12 on WOJO-105FM.

Father Wojciech Kwiecien of St. James Parish on the Northwest Side, Resurrectionist Father Wladyslaw Jan Juszczak of St. Ferdinand Parish on the Northwest Side and Father Thaddeus Dzieszko St. Mary of Czestochowa Parish in Cicero each will offer two Lenten reflections in Polish at 5:30 a.m. on Sundays beginning March 12 on WPNA-1490AM.
The Lenten radio talks follow a short radio spot recorded by Cardinal George that aired on several stations from Feb 28 to March 5.
