Schools from around the Archdiocese of Chicago celebrated Catholic Schools Week, which started January 26th and ran through February 1st. Catholic Schools Week is an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States.
Fifth-graders Drew Whelan, Kedora Johnson, Matthew Parker and Sania Miller put finishing touches on their depiction of St. Andre Bessette. Students from St. Angela School, 1332 N. Massasoit Ave., joined students at St. Michael in Orland Park to work together on learning about the saints for Catholic Schools Week. The fifth-graders made and decorated three-foot paper images of saints and shared a pizza lunch during their visit together on Jan. 29. Several Big Shoulders' schools visited St. Michael's during Catholic Schools Week.
