Cardinal George makes his way back to the reception area after blessing and dedicating the Cardinal Meyer Center, 35th Street and Lake Park Avenue, on Dec. 10. About 150 archdiocesan employees moved to the Cardinal Meyer Center. The site holds a unique history of ministry in Chicago’s history, as it is the last surviving building in Chicago associated with the Civil War.
