Catholics throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago observed Holy Week with reenactments from the Gospel and special liturgies. The following pictures cover events from Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem to a Via Crucis portraying his crucifixion and death.
During the Chrism Mass March 22, the oil of catechumens, the oil of the sick and the oil of chrism for use in parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago was blessed.
