A Vigil for Peace was held at Holy Name Cathedral on Sept. 8. The Taize service was in response to a call from the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to pray for peace in the country and the world on Sept. 9. Taize is a style of musical prayer in which a simple phrase is sung repeatedly to lead participants into prayer.
Fathers Brad Zamora, Greg Sakowicz and Matt O’Donnell light small candles from the Paschal candle to share with participants.
