Sr. Veronica Wagner

TEACHER, VOLUNTEER

School Sister of St. Francis Veronica (Corleone) Wagner, 70, died May 30 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, Wis. The Wisconsin native was a teacher and volunteer in Illinois and Mississippi.

In the Archdiocese of Chicago, she served as a teacher at Our Lady of Charity School in Cicero (1956-1966).

Sister Veronica is survived by her sisters and brothers: Delores Wesener, Florence Jetzer and Charles Wagner of Sheboygan, Wis.; Clement Wagner of Howards Grove, Wis.; Adrian Wagner and Clete Wagner of Cleveland, Wis.; Lee Roy Wagner of Milwaukee, Wis.; Sylvia Silberberg of Lincoln, Calif.; and Jerome Wagner of Lakeland, Fla.

Mr. Daniel Mayall

FATHER OF RECTOR

Mr. Daniel E. Mayall, 81, died June 2.

Mr. Mayall was the father of Father Danuek Mayall, pastor/rector of Holy Name Cathedral.

He is survived by daughters Pat (Bill) Calhoun and Sue (Rich) Pullega and and son Jim, as well as Father Mayall.

Mrs. Antonia Takuska

MOTHER OF PRIEST

Mrs. Antonina Takuska, 61, died June 1.

Mrs. Takuska was the mother of Father Walter J. Tajuski, associate pastor of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Streamwood.

She also is survived by daughters Judwiga Jop and Maria Nowobilski and son Jacek Tajuski.

Sr. Margaret Foley

AQUINAS HIGH SCHOOL ALUM

Adrian Dominican Sister Margaret (Patrick Clare) Foley, 73, died June 2 at her home in Westlake, Ohio.

A Chicago native, she graduated from Aquinas High School.

Sister Margaret spent 49 years ministering in education in Ohio, Michigan, New York, Florida and Arizona, in addition to Illinois. In the Archdiocese of Chicago, she was a teacher at St. Nicholas of Tolentine (1969-72) and a librarian assistant at Regina Dominican High School, Wilmette (1984- 1990).

She spent the last six years ministering to elderly and homebound people in Rocky Creek and Westlake, Ohio.

Sister is survived by two sisters, Catherine Devane of Palos Heights and Eileen Meyer of Oak Lawn.

Sr. M. Elizabeth Moriarty

TEACHER, SECRETARY

Sister Mary Elizabeth (Elizabeth Agnes) Moriarty, 93, died June 9 in Mother Theodore Hall, St. Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind.

A Cicero native, she taught for 49 years in elementary schools in Illinois, Indiana and California. She taught at St. Francis Xavier, Wilmette (1936-40); St. Mark (1941-44); St. Sylvester (1955-62); St. Mel-Holy Ghost (1962-65); Our Lady of Mercy (1966-67, 1972-85); St. Francis Borgia (1967-70); and St. Andrew (1970- 72). After retiring from teaching, she did secretarial work at Mother Theodore Guerin High School (1985-90).

She is survived by a sister, Patricia Tuglus.

Sr. Dolores Kledzinski

EDUCATOR, SOCIAL WORKER

Holy Spirit Missionary Sister Dolores (Thomas) Kledzinski, 90, died June 15 at the Convent of the Holy Spirit in Techny.

A Chicago native, Sister Dolores attended St. Agnes School and Providence High School.

She was a teacher and principal in Mississippi and Arkansas from 1943-67. She was community leader at the Convent of the Holy Spirit in Techny from 1967-74. She then went to Maryland as a social worker from 1974- 87. She returned to Techny in 1987 and worked in the Mission Department.
