They answered the call

A new poster featuring the names and faces of 97 men studying for the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Chicago has been released to parishes and agencies across the archdiocese.

“Vocation is a call, and these young men have responded to it and are, preparing to make a commitment,” said Sister of St. Joseph Peter Mary Hettling, assistant director of the archdiocesan Office for Vocations. “I’m sure there are other young men and young women out there who are hearing that call also. Hopefully, they will be willing to listen and answer the call to the priesthood or the religious life so they can be of service to the church.”

The poster is similar to those produced in previous years. This one continues the theme of an ongoing advertising campaign to encourage priestly vocations. The poster displays the seminarians’ pictures on a black background with a white clerical collar at the top. The poster reads, “They answered the call for the Archdiocese of Chicago. Consider the priesthood.” The Knights of Columbus Illinois State Council sponsored the poster.
