St. Richard Church St. Richard Church
5032 S. Kostner Ave., Chicago

“May we know You more clearly + Love You more
dearly + And follow You more nearly + Day by day”—these words of St. Richard of Chichester, carved in stone in the outside wall of the church, remind everyone of the mission of this parish.

St. Richard’s witnesses to the Gospel through its diverse organizations, ministries and celebrations like Simbang Gabi, Our Lady of Czestochowa, outdoor Corpus Christi processions, hosted by various parish groups, and an Easter Sunrise Mass and outdoor Procession in Polish.

The parish also has a strong commitment to its children, met through an excellent school and religious education program that boasts a yearly increase in enrollment.

This vibrant, multi-ethnic community, located on the Southwest Side near Midway Airport, continues to reach out to neighbors, in light of its mission to bring all to know our Lord, “day by day.”
