Making an appeal to share gifts with others

Time. Talent. Treasure. These three T’s are the gifts of Christian stewardship.
But only one of the three can keep a parish’s lights on, print liturgical materials in multiple languages, put a meal before a hunger-stricken person or do any other things that take money.
For that, there is the Annual Catholic Appeal, this year set for March 18-19.

From its start, Mother Katharine Drexel’s ministry was a welcome anomaly among Catholics of color in Chicago and throughout the United States, who faced racism outside and inside the Catholic Church.

Church Clips

Taking it on the road — Dominican Sister Kathryn Hartnett phoned Clips to express her delight in St. Ailbe (S. Harper) students appearing on Page 1 of the Feb. 20-26 issue. From the resultant exposure she heard from some old friends, and the choir has been invited to give a performance on March 19 at Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Thanks to some grant money the college will pick up all expenses for the trip and each kid will be paired up with a college student while there.
